This modified ashcatcher has a silicone plug in the bottom, to function as a reclaim catch! The top joint tapers as it enters the chamber, allowing reclaim to drip directly down to the bottom of the container. Once you’ve got enough to work with, you simply pop the silicone component out and use it as you please. This reclaim catcher also works wonderfully as a regular ashcatcher. It doesn’t add any extra filtration, but being able to pop the bottom out and clean it thoroughly is a distinct plus.
This ashcatcher/precooler is made from clear borosilicate glass with colored silicone.
